Chapter 26: A Weekend of Love

Levi kick-starts his first weekend as a teenager with a second date with Marisa. He discreetly ushers her into his room before anyone can see her, although it isn't likely anyone would have: Sri and CeeCee are busy chatting away in the kitchen and Alba's taking care of her garden. Levi and Marisa may have known each other since childhood, but they've never been friends. Yet, they're as comfortable in each others' company as if they'd been best of friends forever. Levi teases her and she pretends to steal the last half of his waffle.

Things quickly take a steamy turn and soon they're messing around. I hope they're being safe!

They might be going a bit fast, but Levi really is head over heels. “Will you be my girlfriend?”

“Of course I will!!”

Levi does a little dance of joy – he hasn't even been a teenager for a full 24 hours and he's already got a girlfriend! Man he moves fast :p

They snap a quick double-selfie to commemorate the occasion on Simbook

And then it's Marisa's turn to do the dance of joy.

Levi and Marisa celebrate their couple by a passionate makeout session, of course.

And then, it's round two … man, teenage energy, eh!

Levi and Marisa's romance has only just begun to bud, they're teenagers and it's first love for both of them ... add Levi's serial romantic aspiration to the equation and it's quite clear that their relationship doesn't have the longest life-span ... still, when I see how sweetly they gaze into each others eyes, I just want their relationship to last forever! ;-;
(omg, does Levi even have eyes? LOL)

Elizabeth and Ayden show up to hang out later in the afternoon, so Alba gives Juan a call to make it a party – Alba and Juan have drifted apart lately and she wants to become friends again. I have a feeling that Alba is a bit torn between Ayden and Juan as to where her affections lie – she'll have one wish centered on Ayden and when that one is completed she'll have a wish centered on Juan … sometimes she'll have no wish centered on either of them, but most often she'll want to use a bold pick-up line when neither of them are around! -sighs- She's a complicated one!

(that's Sri lurking in the background; bet you didn't recognize him without his bathrobe on!!)

In any case, so far Alba's only strong relationship is with Elizabeth. It's hard keeping her friendship with Ayden and Juan high – she's either studying or taking care of her garden, which doesn't leave her much time for socializing. She's still young yet. Maybe once Alba hits young adulthood she'll become more decisive ^^

Chapter 25: Marisa Gillespie

In the last chapter, Levi aged up and took over the generational reigns from his mother. The first thing I did after that was to upgrade the house. Although Alba and Levi never complained about sharing a room as kids, I felt that they could use their own privacy now that puberty had hit and hormones would soon be raging (for Levi anyway, not so sure how long it'll take Alba hehe).
(CeeCee’s study room keeps getting smaller and smaller, lol)

The day after Levi ages up, to keep up with tradition, I send him to the park with potential girlfriend candidates. I figure that with a serial romantic he'll soon let me know who his first prey love interest will be.
Yes, Levi has many more options than Alba haha. I can't remember the name of the Sim in the white sweater but she's not a teenager. She's an acquaintance of CeeCee's who was invited to Alba's birthday so many chapters ago. She'll probably age up into an elder any day, but until she does, she's all Levi's if he wants her.

Things seem to be going pretty well...the girls are getting along and Levi seems to be drawn to Shaina...

...much to Elizabeth's dismay. Look how she's checking out the competition, haha.

Levi doesn't waste much time rolling a wish to be romantic and to schedule a date, but he doesn't specify a particular Sim and so I took the liberty of choosing for him: Marisa Gillespie! I just couldn't resist … she's gorgeous and I think she'd be perfect as Levi's first love interest.

I had them go on a date then and there. They find a little spot away from the rest of the crowd.

Levi aged up with the Alluring trait thanks to his aspiration choice so the date turns flirty very quickly. I tried to catch Marisa in a flirty pose, but it was actually quite hard.
Levi's trying out his sexy pose for the first time. I should probably get him to hit the gym soon so he has more to show off, haha :p

Levi steps up his game as the sun starts to set. His bladder, hunger and energy bar are yellow, but he doesn't let it show for one second. That's dedication!

Eventually, Marisa stands up to leave. Levi won't let her go so easily, though: “I hope you had a good time, Marisa.” He whips out a rose from I have no idea where. “This evening has been the best one of my life.”

“Oh, Levi...” Marisa is obviously at a loss for words.
“I hope you don't think me too forward...”

“Oh, Levi! Teehee.”

The atmosphere is charged and so Levi does what any typical teen boy would do – goof off to relieve the tension.

Thankfully this makes Marisa laugh and the mood is suddenly more relaxed. Flirty, but relaxed. Marisa really does have to leave. Levi showers her with kisses. “Make it home safely. I'll call you later,” he promises.

**

While Levi has been having the time of his life seducing his first girl, Alba has been struggling to keep her needs up in the green. I want Alba to have a gorgeous garden but to excel at school as well. Unfortunately, keeping a garden is a really demanding job and actually decreases the fun-o-meter, even for Sims who have the Freelance Botanist aspiration (which I don't think is right!). Alba's garden is growing decently. She is currently growing: lemons, lilies, onions, carrots, chrysanthemums, daisies, two snapdragon plants and two strawberry bushes, sage, and tomatoes.

Unfortunately, she has next to no time to take care of the garden during the week. She comes home with a fun-meter nearly in the red and by the time she has watched TV and had dinner she only has time to do her homework (and extra credit) and go to bed. Look at the poor state of her garden!

When Levi aged up, I decided that neither of them would get a job so they could focus on their aspirations and (in Levi's case) objectives. I'm really glad for my decision otherwise poor Alba would have lived her teenage years in misery.

Thankfully she has her dear brother to keep her spirits up. He usually keeps her company while she does her homework and therefore keeps her social bar nice and green (as you can see, Levi himself doesn't care much for doing homework haha).

It'll be the weekend soon and I hope to have Alba socialize a bit more with her friends … I can't wait until she rolls a romantic aspiration or something! She needs a little bit of loving in her life ^^

Objectives and Succession Law

Mandatory objectives:
- gives points per completed challenge
          - takes away points per incomplete challenge

Optional objectives:
 - gives points per completed challenge
                      - does not take away points per incomplete challenge

Each generation will have a separate post for the list of objectives & the tally of those objectives at the end of the heir's generation.

Succession Laws (taken from Pinstar's Legacy Challenge):
  • Gender Law: Matriarchy (Girls inherit over boys, but boys can inherit if no girls are born)
  • Bloodline Law: Strict Traditional (heir must be naturally-born)
  • Heir Law: Exemplar ("Trait" = red hair. Child with red hair will inherit, trumps gender law)
Finally, traits for all children will be randomly selected using Pinstar's Random Trait Generator. The only exemption for this is the heir - when the heir ages up to Young Adult, I will select their last trait to best fit their generation challenges.

Chapter 1: The Will

Leila and Jay Fersto are brother and sister, although not much alike. Jay Fersto, Ambitious, Neat, and Arrogant, only cares about becoming Fabulously Wealthy while Leila, a Family-Oriented though slightly Childish Foodie, only has one dream in life: to have a Big Happy Family.

The worst day of Leila's life was when her doctor announced that she wouldn't ever be able to have children of her own. The worst day of Jay's life was when the person closest to him, his grandmother, passed away.

Jay and Leila's grandmother, Grandma GG, cared deeply for her two only grandchildren, but she also knew that they were both deeply flawed. Before she passed, she thought deeply about how she could thank Jay and Leila for  their devoted love through the years but at the same time teach them a valuable life lesson from the grave. Finally, she came to a decision. This decision was revealed to Jay and Leila on the day of their grandmother's funeral.

In her will, Grandma GG bequeathed her mansion to her two grandchildren (the house that she grew up in that she later raised them up in) only, there's a catch. In order to fully inherit the house, Jay and Leila must raise from childhood to young adulthood 5 foster children. The full requirements were outlined to the children in more detail in the will. By imposing this on them, Grandma GG hoped to accomplish two things: First, she hoped to keep her family together (although she knew that Leila and Jay loved each other dearly, she also knew that they had next to nothing in common and left to their own devices they may never call each other, let alone arrange family events) and give both of her grandchildren something they deeply wanted (Jay, the house he had grown up with and his last link to his grandmother who had raised him / Leila, the space and opportunity to have the big family she so desired). Second, Grandma GG hoped that by imposing such a challenge on the two young adults, they would mature. Jay was arrogant and ambitious and didn't know how to think of others. Leila was still a true child at heart and had trouble taking responsibility. She wanted children, but perhaps for too selfish a reason and didn't realize that having children implied raising children.

And therefore, the most trying and exhausting times of their lives was about to hit Jay and Leila...although they were still blissfully ignorant of the task that awaited them.

Foster Child Challenge: Rules

Here are the rules as outlined in Grandma GG's testament.

Rules/requirements:
  1. Jay is free to pursue the career of his dreams as long as Leila agrees to be the caretaker (although she may make an income herself from a hobby if she so desires)
  2. Leila and Jay must raise 5 children from childhood to young adulthood (one or more may be babies)
  3. Once the last child has reached young adulthood, they may drink a young again potion and live the rest of their lives as they choose or they can choose to maintain their style of life and keep on welcoming foster children into their homes (adopting one child every second or third day)
  4. They may use "kaching" once per child every bill cycle (city compensation).
  5. The children's names and surnames may not be changed (they are fostering, not adopting)
  6. Leila and Jay may not impose their traits on any of the children, but if a child ends up with their trait randomly, that is fine. [To this purpose, I will use two random trait generators: Creat A Random Sim and  Pinstar's Random Trait Generator. The former will be used when babies age up into children and when teens age up to young adults. Pinstar's will be used when children age up into teens. This way, Leila and Jay may have an impact on the children's personality, but it will remain minimal).
  7. Leila and Jay must throw each child & teen a birthday party
  8. Each child must try their best to earn an A in school and to complete their childhood aspiration
  9. Each teen must try their best to earn an A in school and to max at least one skill or to be fully promoted in their teenage jobs, if they have one
  10. Leila and Jay may throw an early birthday party for the children & teens who complete their age requirements early
  11. When a teen ages up into a YA, they must be given a job and moved out immediately
  12. if Leila and Jay choose to continue this line of life, they must foster a new baby/child immediately after a YA is moved out (unless two age up and are moved out at the same time, then the two adoptions may be made within a day or two of each other)
  13. All Sims may be controlled and played
  14. All potions and trait rewards may be purchased with aspiration points
  15. Individual sims stats must be used to determine points for each sims once they reach YA, on their birthday before they move out (obviously)
  16. When Leila and Jay reach the elder stage of their lives, they may wish to pass the house on to the next generation, in this case the heir is either the oldest foster child who either 1) shares a common trait with the founders or 2) has the highest relationship with the founders. This heir is required to carry on the tradition of fostering children.

Point System:
Calculated every time a Sim ages up to YA before they move out - all points, with the exception of the Teen & Child points, calculated from each Sims' stats panel.
  • +1pt per times Happy
  • -3pts per times Uncomfortable
  • -10pts per times Dazed
  • -10pts for each Bladder Failure
  • -10pts per times Passed Out

Chapter 24: Levi Ages Up

I realize that since Levi has become a child, I've focused more on him and Alba's adventures than what CeeCee and Sri have been up to. The thing is that CeeCee and Sri are both at stages in their aspirations and careers where it's pretty boring to document.
Sri autonomously lazes around the house and I have to make him go out and interact with others to get his mischief skill up. He's getting better...

but other than a few screenshots, there's not much to see or tell.

“Hey, Sis, I thought maybe you'd like to do these dishes for me. Kid!”

CeeCee on the other hand has been diligently playing the guitar and telling stories in front of the mirror for her generation challenges. Her aspiration goals right now are to have 100,000 simoleons in bank and to have earned 200,000 simoleons. I highly doubt that either of these goals will be met.

Anyway, with Levi's impending birthday and generation 2 is coming to a close (Generation 3's challenges begin when he is a teenager), I thought I would take this chapter to address Sri and CeeCee's rocky relationship.

Their romantic and friendship bars took serious blows when they fought over Sri's career and later when CeeCee revealed her infidelity. Neither ever requested a divorce though. CeeCee felt like she was just as much to blame as Sri and as for Sri, I don't think he could bear to lose his kids – even if Levi is not biologically his, they became Good Friends not too long after Levi became a child and their relationship has continued strong since then. Still, CeeCee and Sri lived mostly out of each others' way. In part because their work schedules never really lined up and in another part because CeeCee tried (and failed) to keep the kids away from Sri during their childhood – well, Sri is a criminal after all.

Yet I've noticed lately that both Sri and CeeCee have been rolling wishes to be friendly to one another. Was this the sign of the mending of their relationship? I decided to sit them both down on the couch early in the morning after the kids had gone to school and let them play it out by themselves.

“Howdy, stranger.” Sri takes the initiative right away. At first their conversation is casual, friendly banter and a few jokes here and there. I think they both feel rather awkward and are testing the waters. Sri eventually takes a few tentative steps into forbidden territory.

“I'm sorry about the way I treated you and for the secrets I kept. I know our marriage hasn't been ideal and the children have mostly kept us together. Now that they're growing up, though, I just don't want to lose you.”

The ball is in CeeCee's court ... what will she do? Well, she puts away her breakfast, for one, and then she moves closer to Sri!!
“Of course I'll forgive you, Sri. I've forgiven you long ago, I think. I've just been stubborn. The question is can you forgive me?
“I've never had to forgive you, CeeCee. I've only been working on forgiving myself all these years days ago!”

They seal mutual forgiveness with a kiss

And then I gave them a gentle nudge in the right direction ;)

**

Levi's birthday party is that same evening. I was going to have it a strictly family party seeing as it was a school night and they were having the party pretty late, but Levi is the heir and I felt it wouldn't be fair to him if he didn't at least get a small event. So I got Alba to invite only their closest friends. It was a much tamer affair than Alba's party but much more intimate.

Since Levi was about to drop dead on his feet (you see in the above picture that he's in his Pjs – I had to wake him up for his party lol) I had him blow out his candles pretty quickly.

I held my breath as he aged up ... he's their heir after all and he plans on being a lady killer ... would he look the part???

HECK YES! Wow Levi blew my expectations right out the water. I wanted him to be gorgeous but if I'm not careful he may just break my heart along with all those Sim ladies'! Hehe

Well there you have him – the Generation 3 heir as a teenager! Generation 2 has officially come to a close. You can find a link under "Generation 2" to see CeeCee's objectives and her accomplishments and failures ;)
The Generation 3 objectives have also been posted, under "Generation 2" headline!
(these are found in the "A Thorny Legacy" page on the navigation bar)

The next chapter will be the first of Generation 3 and the beginning of Levi's love rampage!

Oh, Levi aged up with the Romantic trait and the Serial Romantic aspiration. Both were chosen by me in accordance to his generation challenges! ^^

**

So long, little Levi! You were a blast to play! Not only were you my favorite Sim child ever, but you really pushed me to my limit, completing two childhood aspirations!
Levi completed both the Social Butterfly and the Rambunctious Scamp aspirations (the last one was a close call. He completed it by drinking about 2 sleepless potions and by skipping school on his last day of childhood! Hehehe, little rebel).

I think Levi will miss his childhood adventures, but his teenage and adult years look very promising, if this picture is any indication ;)
